School Strategic Improvement Plan

2025-2026
School Improvement Plan

Introduction

During the 2025–2026 school year, the Stamford Public Schools (SPS) District Strategic Improvement Plan will continue to prioritize outcome measures in the areas of English Language Arts/Reading, Math, Attendance, and Social Emotional Learning, with a sustained emphasis on curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Each school will develop goals and measurable outcomes aligned to these areas, ensuring they are tailored to the unique needs and contexts of their individual school communities. Data will be reviewed at least three times during the school year to monitor progress—at the Beginning of the Year (BOY) in October, the Middle of the Year (MOY) in February, and the End of the Year (EOY) in June.

Building upon last year’s work, the 2025–2026 plan deepens the district's commitment to rigorous task design and the implementation of standards-aligned curriculum across all content areas. Schools will also focus on instructional strategies that make student thinking visible in classrooms, fostering deeper engagement and clearer insight into student learning. These continued areas of focus reflect SPS’s broader mission to ensure equitable access to high-quality instruction for all students and to cultivate learning environments where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
